2022/23 U-46 Educational Foundation Grant Application

The U-46 Educational Foundation welcomes all grant requests that serve its mission of supporting innovation and enhancing student learning and well-being in U-46. You can read more about U-46 Educational Foundation grants here.

The deadline to apply for a grant is 11:59 p.m. on Friday, September 30th.

All U-46 employees applying for grants must receive both approval for their project idea and confirmation that the project can be completed as described from their principal or supervisor prior to applying. Projects cannot violate FERPA or the IDEA act or any standing District policies.

Grant funds must be used during the 2022/23 school year. Evaluation forms and any receipts or invoices related to awarded grants must be submitted to the Foundation by May 31, 2023. If you are not able to complete your project by May 31, you may request a one-year extension. Extensions must be requested prior to May 31, 2023. Grantees who do not comply with the above conditions will not be awarded grant funding in a subsequent school year.

Employee salaries and food will not be funded. Technology purchases must meet with the approval of the U-46 Information Services Department.

Applicant Responsibilities

By initialing the boxes below, I acknowledge that I understand and commit to the following obligations:

I will submit invoices or receipts for all grant expenditures to the U-46 Educational Foundation by May 31, 2023. Grant funding will not be available without the submission of an invoice or a receipt. If I am in need of more time, I can request an extension before May 31, 2023. If I do not submit a receipt or invoice, I may forfeit grant funding.

Unused grant funding will not roll over into subsequent school years without an approved grant extension. Unused grant funding includes funds that have not been requested with an invoice or receipt by May 31, 2023 and checks that have not been cashed within 90 days of being issued. Uncashed checks older than 90 days may be voided.

I will complete a grant evaluation, which will include at least two JPGs or other transferrable electronic photographs of my project, by June 31, 2023. I will ensure that any identifiable students in my photos have a media release consent form. If I am in need of more time, I can request an extension by June 31, 2023. If I fail to submit a grant evaluation by the deadline, I may forfeit the opportunity to receive grant funding in a subsequent school year.

I grant the U-46 Educational Foundation the right to use this proposal, my project results, or any part of my project evaluation for publicity and other public information purposes including the Foundation's website, newsletters, and social media, without limitation.

I understand that my grant proposal may be denied or rescinded at any time if my project is found to be in violation of FERPA, the IDEA act, or School District U-46 policies.
